In karna peedasan, the knees are bent towards the floor by each ear and pressed to the floor. This pulls the whole spine steadily, posteriorly. Every vertebra and ligament of the cervical region receives plenty of blood and becomes healty.

Karna Pidasana

All movements of the spine directly or indirectly give exercise to various internal organs and abdominal muscles. Any forward bending of the spine vigorously contracts the abdominal muscles.

Owing to accumulation of adipose tissue in the abdominal regions, more advanced exercises to the spine are found difficult to practice. But as you progress form the simple to the more complicated, you will find the difficult pose easier and there will be marked reduction of the extra fat of the abdominal muscles.
